The Bethesda Dutch School provides quality Dutch language education for children and adults who are in the U.S. temporarily and/or people who want to keep in touch with the Netherlands/Belgium and the Dutch culture. Our school started in 2008 and currently has over 100 students, who attend our program on Saturday mornings in Bethesda. We are certified and registered as one of 174 "Nederlandse Taal en Cultuur" (Dutch Language and Culture) schools worldwide by the Dutch Ministry of Education. Our program leads to the internationally recognized (Certificate for Dutch as a Foreign Language). If you are interested in our program please contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Until 2014 The Bethesda Dutch School was subsidized by the Dutch Government, covering about half of the school budget. Due to financial constraints in The Netherlands, this subsidy has been phased out. About $45,000 in annual subsidy is disappearing. We aim to recover some of this lost income through fundraising. If your company has affinity or connections to the Netherlands we can offer exposure to a large group of Dutch expatriate families.
Our goal is to find 25 companies and organizations willing to make tax-deductible contributions of $500-$1000. Smaller or larger amounts are of course welcome as well. Note that we are a 501(c)(3) organization.
We offer several ways to raise your visibility within the school community: listing on the school’s website, distribution of branded marketing items, distribution of promotional materials, recognition in school email and/or newsletter communications and during cultural activities. Donors of $2,500 or more can arrange to have a representative attend a future general school event, be introduced at the event, and display promotional materials of their company.
Thank you for your support!
